Accomplishments of the Foundation
- Establishment of medical services with primary care physician and a staff of over 10 employees including 3 nurses
They are charged only 10/20 rupees (about 0.5 cents) to see a doctor and free medications also given to deserving patients.
Dr. Meelu pays for the salaries and expenses through the foundation.
The hospital has both outpatient and inpatient facilities, operation theater, x-ray machine, lab and ultrasound services for pregnant women.
- The foundation also purchased land and provided housing to poor deserving people.
- The foundation every year provides a food package and cash locally called (Ramadan package) at the beginning of the holy month Ramadan.
- The foundation has arranged medical camps where specialist doctors come from urban areas, even USA, to provide free medical services.
Population Served
District Sialkot is highly populous area. There are 10 villages in the 3 mile radius with a population ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 in each village. Patients even come from a distance of 10 to 15 miles away for the services.
